The ITP has launched a digital driving license card incorporating twelve advanced security measures to prevent tampering and counterfeiting. This initiative is part of a broader effort to integrate driving licenses with the Safe City project, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), and the Excise Department, thereby improving traffic management and enforcement.

Importance of Timely License Renewal

Renewing your driving license on time is crucial for several reasons:

  • Legal Compliance: Driving with an expired license is illegal and can result in fines or other penalties.
  • Insurance Validity: An expired license can invalidate your vehicle insurance.
  • Up-to-Date Information: Renewal ensures your personal and vehicle information is current.
  • Access to Digital Services: Renewed licenses may offer access to digital platforms and services introduced by traffic authorities.
