The local automotive market in 2025 has been buzzing with activity, with several new vehicle launches in just the first four months of the year. Models such as the Kia Sportage L, GuGo Box EV, JAC T9 Hunter, MG HS Trophy, and Isuzu D-Max have already made their debut. Now, it appears that Hyundai is preparing to join the lineup with a new Tucson variant.

Tucson Hybrid: From Speculation to Confirmation

In December 2024, a Hyundai Tucson Hybrid was spotted in Pakistan, sparking speculation about an upcoming launch. At the time, Hyundai Nishat Motors clarified that the vehicle was a private import, with no official plans to introduce it in the market. However, industry experts believed that a Tucson Hybrid was inevitable, especially after the launch of the Kia Sportage L, one of its key competitors.

Now, Hyundai has given the clearest indication yet that a new Tucson variant is on the way. A recent social media post from the company teased phrases like “unstoppable power” and “groundbreaking efficiency,” before confirming:

“The revolutionary Hyundai All-Wheel Drive Hybrid is almost here.”

This strongly suggests that an all-wheel-drive, hybrid-powered Tucson is set to arrive in Pakistan soon.

Expected Features of the New Tucson Hybrid

While Hyundai has yet to confirm official specifications, sources familiar with the matter have shared some likely features:

• The model is expected to be the latest-generation Tucson available globally.

• It may feature all-wheel drive with multiple terrain modes.

• A hybrid powertrain is highly anticipated.

• Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) could be included.

• A long-wheelbase version might be introduced, offering more cabin space.

If these features are confirmed, the Tucson Hybrid could become a game-changer in Pakistan’s growing hybrid vehicle segment.

A New Era of Hybrid SUVs in Pakistan?

With more automakers focusing on fuel-efficient and eco-friendly options, the introduction of the Hyundai Tucson Hybrid could add to the competition among hybrid SUVs. It would provide consumers with another strong alternative in the market, especially against rivals like the Kia Sportage L and Toyota’s hybrid SUVs.

As Hyundai gears up for this launch, buyers can expect more details in the coming weeks.
