Hyundai Pakistan has officially launched its flagship sport utility vehicle, the Hyundai Palisade, marking one of the most significant entries into the country’s premium SUV segment in recent years. The launch introduces a locally assembled luxury SUV that aims to compete directly with high end models already present in the market.
The company unveiled the Palisade in two variants, offering buyers different seating configurations and feature packages. The Palisade Smart variant comes with an eight seat layout and carries an ex factory price of Rs. 20,999,000. Meanwhile, the higher trim Palisade Calligraphy variant offers a seven seat configuration with captain seats in the middle row and is priced at Rs. 22,999,000. Booking amounts have been set at Rs. 3 million for the Smart variant and Rs. 3.3 million for the Calligraphy model.
Hyundai confirmed that bookings are now open nationwide, while deliveries are expected to begin in August 2026. The listed prices exclude Capital Value Tax, NEV Levy, and advance tax charges, which will vary depending on buyer circumstances.
Local assembly marks major milestone for Hyundai Pakistan
One of the most notable aspects of the launch is Hyundai’s decision to locally assemble the Palisade. Pakistan has become the first country outside South Korea to assemble the flagship SUV. A move that reflects the company’s long term investment strategy in the local automotive industry.
Industry analysts believe localization has allowed Hyundai to position the vehicle competitively within the premium SUV category. The Palisade now directly rivals vehicles such as the GWM Tank 500 HEV. Which currently sits in a similar price range.
Globally recognized as Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the Palisade arrives with a strong focus on comfort, technology, and performance. The vehicle features a 2.5 liter turbo hybrid powertrain producing 329 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque. Placing it among the most powerful SUVs assembled locally.

The interior emphasizes luxury and convenience across all three rows. Key highlights include premium Nappa leather upholstery, power adjustable seating throughout the cabin, tri zone climate control, and a 14 speaker Bose sound system. Hyundai has also included soundproof glass to enhance cabin quietness and a dual panoramic sunroof extending across multiple seating rows.
The SUV rides on 21 inch alloy wheels and features self damping suspension technology that automatically adjusts according to passenger load, improving ride comfort and stability.

In terms of size, the Palisade stands among the largest SUVs assembled in Pakistan. Its longer wheelbase compared to several competitors allows improved legroom, particularly in the third row. Which is designed to accommodate adult passengers comfortably.
The launch signals Hyundai’s expansion into Pakistan’s luxury vehicle segment at a time when demand for premium SUVs continues to grow. With local assembly, hybrid performance, and extensive features. The Palisade is expected to attract buyers seeking a high end family vehicle with advanced technology and spacious design.
