Hyundai Pakistan Increases Prices Across All Passenger and Commercial Vehicles

Hyundai has announced a fresh price hike across its entire lineup of passenger and commercial vehicles in Pakistan. The move comes in response to fiscal adjustments introduced in the country’s recently passed 2025–26 federal budget, which has impacted the auto sector through increased taxes and regulatory changes.

The company issued an official statement confirming that the upward revision reflects the impact of new duties and levies aimed at boosting revenue but adds to the burden on local consumers already facing record-high car prices.

Revised Hyundai Porter Prices

Hyundai’s popular light commercial vehicle, the Porter, has seen a uniform increase of PKR 46,000 across all its variants. The updated ex-factory prices are as follows:

  • Porter Deckless: Now PKR 4,345,000 (up from PKR 4,299,000)
  • Porter Flat-Deck: PKR 4,365,000 (previously PKR 4,319,000)
  • Porter High-Deck: PKR 4,385,000 (up from PKR 4,339,000)
  • Porter Deckless with AC: PKR 4,455,000 (previously PKR 4,409,000)
  • Porter Flat-Deck with AC: PKR 4,475,000 (previously PKR 4,429,000)
  • Porter High-Deck with AC: PKR 4,495,000 (previously PKR 4,449,000)

Hyundai Passenger Cars See Significant Increase

The price surge is more prominent in Hyundai’s passenger vehicle segment, especially in hybrid and premium variants:

  • Elantra Hybrid: Up by PKR 195,001, now priced at PKR 9,895,000
  • Tucson Hybrid Smart: Increased by PKR 221,000, now at PKR 11,220,000
  • Tucson Hybrid Signature: Risen by PKR 241,000, now PKR 12,240,000
  • Santa Fe Hybrid Smart: Up by PKR 260,000, at PKR 13,250,000
  • Santa Fe Hybrid Signature: Risen by PKR 296,000, now PKR 14,995,000
  • Sonata 2.0: Increased by PKR 301,000, now PKR 10,330,000
  • Sonata 2.5: Up by PKR 340,000, now at PKR 11,545,000
  • Sonata N Line: Highest jump of PKR 631,000, now priced at PKR 16,521,000

Impact on Consumers and Auto Sector

Industry analysts believe these price hikes may further dampen demand in an already sluggish market hit by inflation, rising fuel costs, and high-interest rates. The trend of frequent price increases also raises questions about vehicle affordability for the middle class.

Consumers interested in hybrid models like the Elantra, Tucson, and Santa Fe will now have to factor in the increased costs when planning their purchases. On the commercial side, transporters relying on the Porter series will feel the pinch of higher upfront costs, which could lead to increased freight and logistics charges.

As automakers continue to adjust to new fiscal measures, industry watchers expect other brands to follow Hyundai’s lead in the coming weeks.

Final Thoughts

While the new prices come as unwelcome news for buyers, Hyundai has reiterated its commitment to providing advanced vehicles and premium service in Pakistan despite tough economic conditions. Prospective buyers are advised to check with authorized dealerships for the latest on-road prices, delivery schedules, and booking details.
