Pakistan’s electric vehicle (EV) industry is undergoing rapid growth, driven by new players such as Deepal by Changan Pakistan and BYD, which are entering the market and contributing to the country’s push toward sustainable mobility. Among the most exciting developments is Dewan Motors’ unveiling of the Honri Ve, Pakistan’s first locally assembled electric vehicle, at the 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024. This significant launch marks a milestone in Pakistan’s EV industry and its efforts to promote eco-friendly transportation.

The Honri Ve comes in two versions: Honri Ve 2.0 and Honri Ve 3.0, both of which boast impressive specifications and features tailored to meet the demands of the modern consumer.

Honri Ve 2.0 Features

The Honri Ve 2.0 is powered by a 30 kW electric motor, providing 84 Nm of torque, with a top speed of 100 km/h. It offers a range of 200 km on a single charge, with a recharge time of 7 hours. This model comes equipped with front disc brakes, 15-inch alloy wheels, halogen headlights, and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, making it an attractive option for customers looking for a stylish, sustainable ride.

Honri Ve 3.0 Features

The more advanced Honri Ve 3.0 offers an extended range of 300 km per charge (based on the CLTC cycle), providing greater convenience for longer journeys. Powered by a 35 kW motor and generating 87 Nm of torque, the Honri Ve 3.0 uses a 29.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which can also be fully recharged in 7 hours. The model features additional safety features like a rearview camera and a tire pressure monitoring system, ensuring that drivers have both the performance and safety needed for a smooth, reliable experience.

The launch of the Honri Ve represents a crucial step forward for sustainable transportation in Pakistan, offering a locally manufactured, eco-friendly alternative to traditional fuel-powered vehicles. With a growing number of electric vehicle options now available, Pakistan’s EV market is poised for continued expansion, contributing to efforts to reduce carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.

Dewan Motors’ entry into the electric vehicle market signals an exciting future for sustainable mobility in Pakistan, with the Honri Ve setting a new benchmark for locally assembled electric vehicles. As the country continues to prioritize environmental initiatives, the Honri Ve is set to play an essential role in transforming Pakistan’s transportation landscape.
