Honda is gearing up for a highly anticipated return to the British GT Championship with the debut of its NSX GT3 in 2025. This marks the first time in 18 years that a Honda-powered car will compete in the prestigious series.

Honda’s Legacy in British GT

The last time Honda had a presence in British GT was in 2007 when it powered the Lotus Exige GT3s fielded by Mackintosh Motorsport and Cadena Motorsport. However, a dedicated Honda model has not featured in the series since the 1990s, making the NSX GT3’s debut a significant milestone for the Japanese manufacturer.

Bridger Motorsport to Lead the NSX GT3 Campaign

The NSX GT3 will be run by Bridger Motorsport, a team that has primarily competed in UK single-seater championships since its inception in 2015. This marks Bridger Motorsport’s debut in the British GT Championship, making their entry with Honda’s NSX GT3 an ambitious move.

Team principal Jay Bridger expressed his excitement about the opportunity, stating:
“We are very excited to be joining British GT with Honda this year. It is a massive jump up for us as a team. We are working alongside JAS Motorsport, and their support has been very valuable to us.”

JAS Motorsport’s Role in the Project

JAS Motorsport, Honda’s long-term development partner, will be supporting Bridger Motorsport in its British GT campaign. The Italian-based motorsport firm has played a crucial role in the development and global success of the NSX GT3, and its expertise will be instrumental in Bridger Motorsport’s transition to GT3 racing.

What to Expect from the Honda NSX GT3 in British GT?

The NSX GT3 has already proven itself in international GT racing. Competing in major championships such as the GT World Challenge and IMSA SportsCar Championship. Equipped with a twin-turbocharged V6 engine and advanced aerodynamics. The car is expected to be a strong contender in the British GT field.

Honda’s return adds another exciting element to the 2025 British GT Championship. Fans eager to see how the NSX GT3 performs against well-established rivals. With Bridger Motorsport at the helm and JAS Motorsport’s backing. Honda’s comeback could mark the beginning of a new era in British GT racing.
