Honda has officially introduced the Honda WN7 Electric Motorbike, its first fixed-battery electric naked model, setting a new benchmark in the global electric motorcycle market. Announced on September 16, 2025 in Tokyo and unveiled for the European market, the WN7 reflects Honda’s long-term goal of making all its motorcycle products carbon-neutral by the 2040s and achieving company-wide carbon neutrality by 2050.

Building on more than 75 years of two-wheel innovation, Honda is accelerating its entry into the electric motorcycle market and expanding its global lineup. The Honda WN7 Electric Motorbike is the production version of the EV Fun Concept first shown at EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. It is positioned in the “Fun” segment and embodies Honda’s vision of delivering an enjoyable, high-performance ride with zero emissions.

A New Era of Electric Riding

The model name WN7 comes from “W” for “Be the Wind,” “N” for “Naked,” and “7” representing the output class. This electric motorbike offers a quiet, smooth ride distinct from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) motorcycles while maintaining the thrill and responsiveness that riders expect from Honda. With its slim, futuristic design and advanced technology, the WN7 represents a major step in Honda’s electrification strategy.
