Punjab EPA Extends Green Sticker Deadline to June 2026

The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Punjab has announced an extension for the validity and acquisition of Green Sticker for vehicles. Originally set to expire on December 31, 2025, the deadline is now extended to June 30, 2026. This decision aims to give vehicle owners more time to comply with environmental regulations without facing immediate penalties.

What Are Green Stickers?

Green Stickers certify that a vehicle meets the provincial environmental and emission standards. They are a key component of the Punjab government’s Green Punjab campaign, which focuses on reducing vehicular smoke—a major contributor to hazardous smog levels during the winter months.

Vehicles older than three years must pass an Exhaust Testing System (ETS) check to obtain a Green Sticker. This ensures that older vehicles do not emit excessive pollutants and comply with environmental standards.

Key Details for Vehicle Owners

  • New Deadline: June 30, 2026
  • Mandatory Testing: Vehicles older than three years must undergo an ETS check
  • Enforcement: Vehicles without a valid sticker after the deadline may face fines or impoundment
  • Testing Locations: Booths are operational in Lahore (Liberty Market, Emporium Mall, Model Town) and other major cities

The extension provides ample time for citizens to ensure their vehicles are compliant while helping the province reduce winter smog and improve air quality. Vehicle owners are encouraged to schedule testing promptly to avoid last-minute issues and fines.
