Dutch company PAL-V (Personal Air and Land Vehicle) has introduced its cutting-edge flying car at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park, signaling a new era in urban mobility for the UAE. Priced at Dh2.9 million (approximately PKR 21 crore), this innovative two-seater vehicle is capable of driving on roads and flying in the sky—thanks to its foldable propellers and unique design.

A Dual-Mode Vehicle with a 500-Kilometer Flying Range

The PAL-V Liberty offers a hybrid travel solution: it functions both as a compact car and a light aircraft. With a flying range of up to 500 kilometers, it presents a versatile transportation option for various sectors. From emergency medical services and military operations to personal and business travel, this flying car aims to revolutionize how people move in and around busy cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Safety, Affordability, and Practicality Over Helicopters

Designed with safety and practicality in mind, PAL-V’s flying car is being hailed as a more affordable and safer alternative to helicopters. Its foldable rotors allow for seamless transitions between road and air, making it ideal for urban environments where space and time are premium.

Strong Demand: UAE’s Jetex Orders 100 Flying Cars

Robert Dingemanse, CEO of PAL-V, confirmed that the company has already received overwhelming interest in the UAE. Notably, Jetex, a luxury aviation services provider based in the UAE, has placed a pre-order for 100 units, underlining the strong demand for flying vehicles in the region.

Flying Cars in UAE by 2027: Awaiting Aviation Approval

If approved by UAE aviation authorities, PAL-V’s flying cars could be seen in the skies by 2027. The company is working closely with regulators to ensure full compliance with safety and air traffic standards. There’s also a strong focus on the environment, with future models expected to incorporate cleaner and greener technologies.

UAE Poised to Lead the Flying Car Revolution

As one of the most innovative nations in the world, the UAE is on track to become a global leader in futuristic mobility solutions. PAL-V’s flying car could pave the way for flying taxis, smart emergency response systems, and eco-friendly airborne transport.

With projects like this gaining momentum, urban air mobility is no longer science fiction—it’s fast becoming a reality.
