New Double-Cabin Vehicles Approved to Boost Islamabad Police and Administration

The Interior Ministry has approved the purchase of 20 new double-cabin vehicles to enhance the mobility and operational capacity of both the Islamabad police and the city administration. Officials confirmed on Thursday that the vehicles are part of a plan to strengthen field operations and improve administrative efficiency in the federal capital.

How the Vehicles Will Be Allocated

Under the new allocation plan, the 20 vehicles will be divided equally between the two departments, with 10 going to the police and 10 to the administration. All eight assistant commissioners are set to receive new vehicles, while the Additional Deputy Commissioner General is also included in the allocation list.

For the police force, the vehicles are expected to improve patrolling, quick response, and fieldwork capabilities. They will be handed over to superintendents of police in the Operations Division, and senior officers. Such as the SSP Operations, SSP Investigation, SSP Security, and the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) are among the main beneficiaries. In addition, officials have stated that starting next month. The SP Dolphin will also be provided with a double-cabin vehicle to enhance patrolling and response across Islamabad.

This initiative signals the government’s focus on strengthening security measures and administrative efficiency in the capital. Better-equipped officials are expected to improve service delivery, ensure timely law enforcement, and facilitate smoother coordination between various departments. For the public, this could translate into faster response times and improved safety in the city.

By upgrading the fleet with modern double-cabin vehicles, the administration. And police are better positioned to handle the challenges of a growing urban environment.
