By The Deepal S05 REEV has officially entered its delivery phase in Pakistan, signaling a transformative moment for the local automotive and electric vehicle industry. Unveiled at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2025 on November 14, the SUV is Pakistan’s first locally assembled (CKD) premium Range-Extended Electric Vehicle, developed and produced by Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML).
The vehicle is being assembled at MCML’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Karachi, where the company completed the full transition from advanced equipment installation to mass production in less than 90 days. The facility utilizes advanced robotics, precision-controlled manufacturing, and next-generation assembly processes, reflecting MCML’s commitment to world-class electric mobility built locally.

Over 1,000 km Combined Range Introduces “Range Confidence”
Built on Changan’s dedicated EPA1 pure electric platform, the Deepal S05 REEV delivers a combined driving range exceeding 1,000 km, effectively eliminating traditional EV range anxiety. This breakthrough has been branded as “Range Confidence”, a first for Pakistani consumers.
Even in pure electric mode, the 27.28 kWh Golden Shield Battery provides up to 170 km of electric-only driving range, the longest among all non-BEV electric vehicles currently available in Pakistan.
True Electric Drive With Lower Running Costs
Unlike conventional HEVs and PHEVs, the Deepal S05 REEV delivers a true all-time electric drive. The onboard range extender operates only as a generator, ensuring the wheels are always powered electrically. This design results in smoother acceleration, quieter operation, reduced mechanical wear, higher efficiency, and lower long-term ownership costs.
Premium Comfort, ADAS & Advanced Safety Structure
The SUV offers a premium cabin experience with Zero-Gravity co-pilot seating and over 20 Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Remote Straight-In & Out Parking (RSIO).
Structurally, the Deepal S05 uses a hybrid aluminium-steel chassis, assembled using Pakistan’s first robotic riveting and precision bonding technology. The result is an impressive torsional stiffness of 35,000 Nm/degree, ensuring superior crash safety, stability, and long-term durability.
Strong Market Response and Pricing Details
Customer response has been overwhelming, with the Deepal S05 REEV fully booked until April 2026 due to high test-drive demand and early bookings.
Commenting on the milestone, MCML CEO Danial Malik stated that the Deepal S05 represents a new benchmark for Pakistan’s automotive industry, combining innovation, electric technology, and advanced local manufacturing.
The SUV is currently available at an introductory price of PKR 9,999,000, valid until January 31, 2026, supported by Deepal’s rapidly expanding nationwide sales and aftersales network.
