In an unexpected move, Changan Pakistan has announced significant price cuts across several popular models, just days after raising prices by up to Rs. 200,000. The company’s bold step comes as part of a new customer relief campaign designed to cushion the impact of recent hikes and revive sales in a challenging economic climate.

Under this limited-time offer, Changan buyers can now benefit from cash discounts ranging from Rs. 150,000 to Rs. 200,000, along with a complimentary two-year Periodic Preventive Maintenance (PPM) package valued between Rs. 125,000 and Rs. 250,000. For some models, the combined savings and free service value reach up to Rs. 450,000, making this one of the most competitive offers in Pakistan’s automotive market this year.

Interestingly, prices for the Karvaan Power Plus 1.2 and Sherpa Power 1.2 remain unchanged at Rs. 3,249,000 and Rs. 2,349,000, respectively, and do not include the free maintenance package.

A Smart Move to Regain Buyer Confidence

This reversal appears to be a calculated move by Changan to protect its market share and regain consumer trust at a time when rising inflation, high interest rates, and new fiscal policies have dampened car sales. The inclusion of free maintenance for two years further adds value by lowering the overall cost of ownership — a factor that matters greatly to budget-conscious buyers in Pakistan.

For customers eyeing the Oshan X7 SUV or the Alsvin sedan lineup, this new incentive could mean considerable savings, especially when factoring in routine service costs covered by the PPM offer.

Final Thoughts

While the offer provides temporary relief, industry watchers are curious to see if competing brands will respond with similar discounts or promotions to attract hesitant buyers. For now, those planning to book a Changan may find this the best time to lock in a deal before the offer window closes.
