Changan may soon introduce a new fully electric compact SUV in Pakistan, and early signs point to it being the AVATR 11. According to available research and industry sources, the company is evaluating the possibility of bringing this premium EV to local showrooms. If launched, it will mark one of the most advanced electric vehicles to enter Pakistan’s market.
AVATR is still an unfamiliar name for many consumers. The brand is a premium sub-brand under Changan, created through a major joint venture with Huawei and CATL, the global leader in EV battery manufacturing. The aim is to offer high-tech features, premium design, and performance that stands out in the upper segment.
The AVATR 11 is the first model of the brand. One of its biggest highlights is its estimated 116.79 kWh battery pack, which is unusually large for a compact SUV. With this capacity, the vehicle offers an impressive WLTP range of around 668 km. A one-way drive from Lahore to Islamabad becomes possible on a single charge.
In terms of performance, the base variant produces 317 hp and 396 Nm of torque. The dual-motor version steps it up with 539 hp and 687 Nm of torque, giving it strong acceleration and high-speed capability for its class.
Huawei’s Strong Role in the AVATR 11
Huawei plays a major role in the AVATR project. The vehicle is deeply integrated into the company’s smart ecosystem and runs on HarmonyOS, Huawei’s own operating system built for connected devices and cars. It also uses the DriveONE iTRACK 800-volt EV platform, which Huawei developed to support high efficiency and fast charging.
The AVATR 11 includes Huawei’s Level 3 ADAS system. This setup features 12 laser radars, built-in 5G connectivity, and a full suite of intelligent safety and driving features. These technologies place the AVATR 11 among the most advanced Chinese electric SUVs currently on the global market.
If Changan introduces it in Pakistan, the vehicle may appeal to buyers who want high-end features, strong range, and the latest EV technology. It would also strengthen Pakistan’s growing EV lineup, especially in the premium segment.

As for pricing, no official details are available. However, industry expectations suggest a position within the upper price tier. While not cheap, it is likely to be far more competitive than similar German or Japanese electric SUVs, which fits the strategy used by many Chinese manufacturers.
The AVATR 11 offers premium design, long range, advanced software, and deep Huawei integration, making it a highly anticipated model if Changan moves ahead with a local launch.
