By Master Changan Motors has officially revealed the introductory price of the Deepal S05 REEV for the Pakistani market, marking a major milestone in the country’s transition toward electric mobility. The locally assembled CKD model is expected to hit Pakistani roads by January 2026, with a starting price of Rs. 9,999,000.
The Deepal S05, a compact SUV from China, has already gained popularity internationally since its debut in 2024. Built on an advanced Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) platform, it stands out as Deepal’s first vehicle equipped with a combustion engine, but with a unique twist — the engine functions only as a generator to charge the battery, not to drive the wheels.
This makes the REEV system distinct from plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), which allow both the engine and motor to power the vehicle. In contrast, the S05’s electric motor exclusively drives the wheels, ensuring a smoother and more efficient electric driving experience.
