After months of speculation and early previews, credible sources have confirmed the launch date. Signaling BYD’s bold step into the Pakistani market with a powerful plug-in hybrid pickup.
Earlier this year, BYD had hinted at a mid-2025 debut for the Shark 6, with pre-bookings expected by late April. While bookings took longer than expected, the confirmation of a late-July launch shows that the automaker is now moving full speed ahead.
Expected Price and Assembly Plans
As for the price, the BYD Shark 6 is projected to land between PKR 19 to 20 million. Initially, it will arrive as a Completely Built Unit (CBU), but BYD isn’t stopping there. The company has revealed plans to begin local assembly in 2026, which could significantly reduce costs and boost local manufacturing and employment in Pakistan’s auto sector.

The 58 kWh LFP battery offers an 80 km electric-only range, while the full hybrid range stretches to 800 km. It also boasts all-wheel drive, regenerative braking, and a respectable 13 km/L fuel efficiency.
