Pakistan’s First Locally Assembled EV Bike with 500km Range Launched

Share

Buraqi Vehicles, a rising electric vehicle (EV) startup based in Pakistan, has launched an impressive new electric motorcycle that can travel up to 500 kilometers on a single charge. This breakthrough model not only revolutionizes EV commuting in Pakistan but also highlights the growing potential of locally assembled green mobility solutions.

Pakistan’s Longest Range Electric Bike

Built entirely in Pakistan, the new Buraqi electric bike runs on a 2kW high-torque Li-Ion motor, powered by a robust 10.43 kWh NCM battery—a capacity greater than many residential solar power systems. This combination provides higher energy density and remarkable long-distance capability, making it an ideal solution for intercity travel and daily commuting.

Smart Design and Low Maintenance

Buraqi has cleverly integrated the bike’s electronics and charging port into the tank for compactness and durability. While splash-resistant, the EV bike is not designed for full submersion. As the motorcycle is designed and assembled locally, spare parts are readily available, ensuring low maintenance costs—a major advantage for Pakistani consumers.

Performance and Features

The bike offers a top speed of 85 km/h, which can be unlocked to exceed 100 km/h. It includes four ride modes, disc brakes on both wheels, and even a reverse gear for better handling in tight spots. A full charge consumes just 11.23 electricity units, costing approximately Rs. 450–500, making it one of the most cost-effective EVs in Pakistan.

Affordable Pricing and Variants

Priced at Rs. 640,000, Buraqi’s top variant is effectively cost-neutral, as its battery alone is valued at nearly the same price in the solar market. The company also offers 11 models, starting from just Rs. 230,000, catering to a wide range of riders and budgets.

A New Chapter for EV Mobility in Pakistan

With this launch, Buraqi Vehicles is redefining the electric motorcycle market in Pakistan, offering clean, affordable, and reliable transportation along with an entrepreneurial dealership opportunity for local investors.

Ok lets calculate, if i buy a honda CD 70, that would be 160k with registration and everything, your bike price is 640k, now deduct 160k from 640k, it would be 480k, now lets calculate the fuel consumption, in today’s date, the price of Petrol is 258 Rs per litre, if i buy for just 300k rupees petrol, it would be around 11 hundred liters, now if i ride this bike for 50 km daily, which will consume just one liter per day, for the next 3 years, that Petrol will be enough for me, what a stupid idea you have, do you think your battery can last more than 3 years..i don’t think so, it will come down to half very soon and you will need to change the battery which will cost you a very handsome amount,
The bottom line, don’t fuck with people’s mind, keep this bullish idea with yourself

Very Good efforts by local assemblers. Pakistan really needs such products to cut down fuel prices and meet our necessities.
In the same way we as a Pakistani has launched Pakistan’s First Cycling Free Classified. Please help us to grow as well.

In country like Pakistan, where electricity is costing highest price in the world. These kind of projects are just bullshit. Where no steps taking to produce low cost electricity like hydal power projects as we have worlds longest canal system but still our focus is IPP’s producing electricity with fuel. And both the reports are fake 1st charging cost and 2nd 500km in full charging . because in 1st condition there is high rates differents in every 100 units consumed by the customers. Even a 301 unit bill crosses Rs.20000. And even more on higher consumption. And most of all the price Rs.630000 is like bombshell to lower middle class Pakistanis, where they can afford a 2nd hand used well conditioned car in this price.

Mursalin

Very expensive. Kindly reduce to half. Thanks

Mursalin

Very expensive

Mursalin

Very expansive

Amjad Hussain

In this cost it is useless. Very costly regular bike is better than this

Kashif

Same out of date design

Zee

Pathetic ROI.

A 70cc bike cost around 150
,000/-. Suppose a person use petrol of rupees 3000 per month means 36000 in a year. Add 700 rupees oil with 150 rupees monthly service maintenance (let 12000 in a round) means 36000+12000 = 48000. Let round it 50,000 per year

Till 13 years this bike can run then investing 640,000 investment. A lower middle class can’t afford 640k amount.
