The Provincial Transport Authority (PTA) of Balochistan has officially announced a three-day suspension of all passenger bus services across the province, citing ongoing security concerns. According to the notification issued, the decision covers both intercity and intracity routes and will remain in effect from November 12 to November 14.
The move comes in light of the prevailing law and order situation in Balochistan. Authorities stated that the temporary halt in transport services is aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers, transport staff, and public infrastructure during this critical period. The suspension applies to government-operated buses as well as services run by private transport operators.
Regional Transport Authorities across Balochistan have been directed to strictly enforce the suspension order. Transport companies, bus terminal operators, and drivers have been asked to comply fully to avoid legal action.
Officials clarified that the step is precautionary in nature and meant to prevent any potential incidents that could endanger the public. There are no indications of a long-term shutdown, and authorities have emphasized that normal bus operations are expected to resume after November 14, assuming the security environment stabilizes as anticipated.
Passengers who had travel plans during the suspension period are advised to contact bus operators for schedule updates and consider adjusting travel arrangements accordingly.
Residents and intercity travelers are encouraged to stay informed through official announcements and avoid relying on unverified information circulating on social media.
