Audi has revealed an impressive new electric crossover for the Chinese market, introducing the AUDI E SUV concept under its rapidly growing local sub-brand. This new model marks the next phase of Audi’s electric future in China, showcasing bold styling, high performance, and advanced technology.
Launched at Auto Guangzhou 2025, the E SUV concept continues the design direction started by Audi’s China-exclusive sub-brand last year. Instead of the classic four-rings badge, the lineup uses a sharp four-letter AUDI logo, signaling a distinct identity built specifically for local buyers.
Co-developed with SAIC, the E SUV concept rides on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) architecture and embraces the long-roof silhouette Audi is famous for. According to Fermín Soneira, CEO of the Audi-SAIC cooperation, the new concept blends Audi’s German engineering heritage with modern digital innovation to meet evolving expectations in China.

The brand aims to deliver a premium EV that feels spacious, sporty, and unmistakably Audi despite its new branding direction.
Strong performance and rapid charging
The AUDI E SUV concept features:
- Dual electric motors producing 500 kW (670 hp)
- 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in around 5 seconds
- 109 kWh battery pack
- Up to 700 km (435 miles) of range (CLTC estimate)
- 800V Advanced Digital Platform for ultra-fast charging
- Around 320 km (~200 miles) of added range in under 10 minutes

These figures suggest the E SUV concept is built not only for comfort but also for long-distance capability and performance consistent with Audi’s premium positioning.

Audi is also equipping the concept with its AUDI 360 Driving Assist System, designed to support drivers in busy city traffic, on highways, and during parking. The system highlights the brand’s focus on intelligent mobility and autonomous-ready features for China’s fast-moving automotive market.
Will it launch outside China?
Despite strong interest, Audi is unlikely to offer the E SUV concept in the US or other global markets. The AUDI sub-brand is tailored specifically for China in partnership with SAIC, making international production highly uncertain.
Still, the concept reveals how aggressively Audi is moving toward premium EV innovation in its largest market.
