The world of micromobility is getting a major shake-up thanks to ALSO the new e-bike and small-EV off-shoot backed by Rivian Automotive. With products expected in 2026, ALSO is promising something more than just a standard electric bike. Here’s what we know so far, and why it matters.

What is ALSO?

ALSO is a recently emerged mobility brand focused on designing “small electric vehicles” not just bikes, but modular, tech-rich, future-friendly machines. It was spun out of Rivian’s micromobility initiative, signaling a push beyond cars into more compact, urban-friendly transport.

The brand is positioning itself to deliver premium e-bikes, cargo quads and related accessories built around a fresh battery/technology platform and modern design ethos.

What’s coming in 2026

The year 2026 is shaping up to be a big one for ALSO, with several exciting models and features on the horizon. The brand’s flagship two-wheeled model, known as the ALSO TM-B, introduces a revolutionary drivetrain called “DreamRide,” where the pedals generate power for a motor that drives the wheel. This unique design sets a new standard in the e-bike industry. The TM-B is expected to deliver an impressive range of up to 100 miles on its higher specification models and achieve Class 3 performance with pedal assist reaching speeds of around 28 mph in select markets.

Beyond traditional e-bikes, ALSO is expanding into new territory with the TM-Q, a four-wheeled pedal-assist vehicle designed for cargo delivery and urban mobility. This move shows the company’s commitment to redefining transportation beyond just personal commuting. The bikes will also feature removable batteries that double as portable power banks, offering added convenience and flexibility for users.

As for pricing, the initial launch edition of the TM-B is expected to start at around US $4,500, with a more affordable base model to follow later in 2026, estimated to be priced below US $4,000. With these advancements, ALSO is clearly positioning itself as a key player in the next generation of electric mobility.

What to watch out for

There are a few key challenges ALSO will need to navigate. With prices starting around $4,500, the bikes may be too expensive for the mass market, so consumer acceptance will be crucial. The success of these high-end models also depends on proper infrastructure for charging, maintenance, and after-sales support. Additionally, adapting to different global regulations and pricing sensitivities will be important for a smooth rollout. Lastly, since the e-bike market is already competitive, ALSO must prove its reliability, service quality, and long-term value to stand out.
