GAC has started teasing its first electric vehicles for Pakistan, signaling a major step toward entering the country’s growing EV market. The move comes shortly after Lucky Motor Corporation announced its partnership with GAC to introduce AION and HYPTEC brands locally. While full details remain limited, early teasers suggest that an electric SUV and sedan will lead the initial rollout.
GAC Pakistan recently shared teaser posts on social media with messages hinting at a new arrival. Phrases like a powerful new force and innovation on the horizon have created anticipation among local car buyers. The company has not revealed official model names yet, but the silhouettes in the teasers offer clear clues.
Industry observers believe the teased models closely resemble the AION V SUV and the AION ES sedan. Both vehicles already exist in international markets and align with GAC’s strategy to expand its electric lineup globally. However, the final names for Pakistan may differ, as GAC often adjusts branding across regions.
Expected Models and Key Details
The AION V is a compact electric SUV designed for urban and family use. It offers seating for five passengers and features a modern design with practical dimensions. International versions come with battery options of around 64.5 kWh and 75.26 kWh. The SUV produces about 201 horsepower and delivers a claimed range of up to 602 kilometers under the NEDC cycle.
The AION ES, also known in some markets as part of the AION S lineup, is an electric sedan focused on efficiency and comfort. It also seats five passengers and features a slightly longer body than the SUV. The sedan uses a 55.2 kWh battery pack and produces around 134 horsepower. Its claimed range reaches up to 442 kilometers under the same testing standard.
Both models use lithium iron phosphate battery technology and front wheel drive layouts. These specifications make them suitable for daily commuting and urban driving, which fits the needs of many Pakistani consumers considering electric vehicles.
Despite these details, GAC has not confirmed final specifications for Pakistan. Battery sizes, features, and performance figures may change to match local conditions and pricing strategies.
The partnership with Lucky Motor Corporation plays a key role in this rollout. Lucky Motors will handle distribution, dealership setup, and local operations. The company is expected to reveal more information about pricing, launch timelines, and dealership networks in the coming weeks.

The introduction of GAC AION vehicles could strengthen competition in Pakistan’s emerging EV segment. As more global brands enter the market, consumers may gain access to a wider range of electric options across different price points.
For now, the teasers confirm progress but stop short of full disclosure. GAC still needs to officially announce the lineup, specifications, and availability details. Until then, the AION V and AION ES remain the strongest indicators of what Pakistani buyers can expect.
The upcoming launch will mark an important moment for the local auto industry as it continues shifting toward electric mobility.
