By Motorcycle prices in Pakistan have once again surged following the new measures announced in the federal budget for 2025–26. Leading the price hikes are Yamaha Motor Pakistan and Unique, both of which have revised their entire motorcycle lineups in response to the government’s new New Energy Vehicle (NEV) levy and other tax changes.
The new prices officially came into effect on July 1, 2025, adding another burden for Pakistani consumers already struggling with rising living costs.
Yamaha Motorcycle Prices 2025
Yamaha has made significant price adjustments across its popular models:
- YB125Z (Red/Black): Rs. 429,000 (includes Rs. 65,441 in sales tax and Rs. 4,057 NEV levy)
- YB125Z DX (Red/Black/Gray): Rs. 459,500
- YBR125 (Red/Gray/Black): Rs. 471,500
- YBR125G (Black): Rs. 490,500
- YBR125G Matt Finish: Rs. 493,500 — currently Yamaha’s most expensive model
These revised rates follow the federal government’s introduction of a dedicated NEV levy designed to encourage the shift towards greener vehicles while broadening the tax base.
Unique Motorcycle Prices 2025
Following Yamaha’s lead, Unique has also announced a fresh price hike for its popular UD-70cc series, effective July 18, 2025.
New prices for Unique bikes are:
- UD-70cc (Base model): Rs. 121,500
- UD-70cc Extreme Plus: Rs. 125,000
- UD-70cc Special Edition: Rs. 128,500
- UD-70cc Extreme Plus Alloy Rims: Rs. 135,000
- UD-70cc Selfstart variant: Rs. 147,000
These hikes come shortly after similar price increases by Atlas Honda and Pak Suzuki, indicating that motorcycle buyers in Pakistan will continue to face higher costs across all segments.
Rising Costs Add Pressure on Consumers
The steady rise in motorcycle prices is putting additional pressure on everyday commuters and small businesses, for whom motorcycles are a vital means of affordable transport.
While the NEV levy aims to promote the adoption of electric and hybrid motorcycles, its immediate impact has been a notable increase in the retail price of petrol-driven models.

With the new budget measures in place, more manufacturers are expected to adjust prices in the coming weeks. The industry has urged the government to provide clearer incentives for local manufacturing of electric bikes to balance out the burden of new taxes.
