In a major step toward digital transformation, Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, has partnered with the Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Police to modernize the region’s traffic fine issuance system. The strategic agreement is set to replace outdated paper-based processes with a comprehensive, real-time digital solution, aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and public convenience.

Digitizing Law Enforcement in AJK

Through this collaboration, Zindigi will provide AJK traffic police with handheld smart devices equipped with Bluetooth-enabled printers, allowing officers to issue traffic tickets digitally and on the spot. More importantly, citizens will benefit from a wide range of digital payment options, including mobile wallets, ATM/debit and credit cards, and QR code-based transactions—making the entire process faster, easier, and more transparent.

This initiative is designed to significantly reduce administrative burden, eliminate paper waste, and enhance the traceability of fines, which in turn strengthens accountability within the traffic enforcement system.

Leadership Speaks on the Impact

Inspector General (IG) AJK Police, Abdul Jabbar, emphasized the modernization effort, saying:

“We aim to bring AJK Police at par with modern police organizations. By embracing technological advancements, we intend to improve service delivery, build public trust, and reinforce law and order through efficient, transparent systems.”

Meanwhile, Noman Azhar, Founder & Chief Officer of Zindigi, highlighted the private sector’s role in public digitization, stating:

“At Zindigi, we believe in supporting digital infrastructure by taking the initiative and covering all implementation costs. Our goal is to create long-term, sustainable solutions that don’t burden government resources.”

A Blueprint for Smart Governance

This partnership reflects Zindigi’s broader mission to support private-public digital partnerships that pave the way for a smarter, connected Pakistan. It’s a model that encourages innovation, streamlines governance, and ultimately benefits the everyday citizen.

As Pakistan pushes toward a digital future, such collaborations are vital to transforming public services, fostering institutional trust, and delivering convenience at scale.
